HEART TO HEART WITH THE OCEAN
Water is free, water is spirit,
It is your mirror, it is your reflection,
Water is she.
This collection is a depiction of the conversations we have while we walk on the beach, soak our feet in the sand, feel the breeze, watch the colors that soothe our soul and behold the magic of moving river, of life force and bask in the feeling of oneness with nature.
Hope it reminds you of the peace you felt in the vast expanse of the known and unknown breathtaking landscape and even if it is for a little while, hope you can escape into the realms of what true freedom can be.
SOUND OF WAVES
I hear them
I can feel the touch
The soft touch of water
The magic of the changing colors
How much I am tempted to capture
And take it with me
I fill up seashells and the sand in a jar
For my memory
But all I need to do
Is close my eyes
And I am there
For the sound of waves
Echo in me
CROWDED
I sit in a crowd
With a group of people
I will not call them strangers
For I meet them often
But I see myself
Sitting alone
As I sit with them
We may all be at the shore
And the waters maybe still
But deep within
I hear, I hear myself talk
Talk to me alone
DEEP WATERS
By the sea
In the dark
When all you can hear
Are the crashing waves
And you sit quiet
With your eyes closed
And feel the deep waters
In your heart and soul
You are reminded of what quite can be
So alluring
Yet daunting
For it stirs in you, emotions, that you have not felt before
Like the fire
That burns,
In the lighthouse
Lighting the dark
EMPTY
As I reached out
Filled with anger and despair
To lash out
And shout
I found no people
No one
But just an empty boat
With no one to be angry at
In all the noise
In all the suffering
In all the chaos
If only I could find me
If only I could be
Just an empty boat
SOLITUDE
Is it daunting
To sit alone
Just by your own thoughts
Comfortably and wanting no company
The waters may not always be kind
Rough weather
Tough storms
And sometimes you might just get to enjoy the lull
Do you have it in you?
To not be tethered to the shore
To live the solitude
To feel that peace that you have always longed for
TOGETHER
I felt a certain kind of special
In my loneliness, like I owned it
And it was mine alone
And then I found you
And slowly found that you were lonely too
You mirrored my vacuum
You felt a void too
I owned it no more
For we stood together
Untethered and lost together
I lost my special feeling
But I am happy that I lost it to you
LIGHTHOUSE
Can you be the rock that can weather the storms?
Can you be the place that I can call my home?
Can you be that someone that I can lean on?
Can you be the shore where I can rest?
Can you be my lighthouse?
MYSTERIOUS
She carries in her
The wounds and the scars
The calm, the breeze
She weathers the storms that tear her sails
She stands majestic and with grace
Hanging onto every string, every rope
That can keep her going
For just like the sea
Mysterious is she
Her depth is unknown
For she holds secrets untold
DOCKED
She comes back from her sail
She has lived her day
She needs to rest
To repair, to refuel, to reset
Back to her people
Back to her safe space
She harbors no malice
For what she endured
And she sets sail again
After some wine and dine
With some laughter, some stories shared
For she is free, free to sail
BAREFOOT
I walk on the beach
The wet sand touches my feet
I feel the warmth of water
As it gushes, sometimes slowly
Sometimes with force
And sweeps me off my feet
For my heart skips a beat
As I am soaked in deep
LIMITLESS
Do you have what it takes?
To voyage out and sail
To lose yourself
In a vast expanse of doubt and uncertainty
To explore and adventure
To go beyond norms
And to live beyond boundaries
LOST
I am lost
For music has taken over me
The strings play a song
That loop me in so strong
That I am no longer present
And I wish
I am not found
In music I drown
HEART BEATS
The rhythm, the notes
They nudge and poke
Actors, characters are put in play
As the sound of the string
Takes my heart away
SOFT SNOW
In the streets
Wrapped up in coats
The silhouette
The chilly cold
Winter brings in a treat
As soft snow falls on me
And amidst a buzzing crowd
I happily walk with the warmth of fresh coffee
Feeling the chill in me
AT REST
I ponder and reflect
In waters nest
As I keep aside my oar
I look around
And find peace
As in the big blue sea
I find my tiny little world
My quite shore
My place to rest
BELONGING
The sails are up
The winds are clear and crisp
I am on a voyage
A journey that is mine
And mine alone
For I belong nowhere
Yet I belong
To everyone, everywhere
AT THE SHORE
As the sun sets
And you have been able to manage, to watch
The reflection on the waters
Is at its best
With colors that leave you gasping
In disbelief
You sit at the shore
With people
Known or unknown
Amazed at watching
Nature’s beauty
AT THE SHORE
I ponder and muse
In waters nest
As I keep aside my oar
I look around
And find peace
As in the big blue sea
I find my tiny little world
My quite shore
My place to rest
As I introspect
I see colour,
Colour, reflected on me
